Join me in exploring one of the most charming and best-preserved towns in Andalusia, the iconic little town of Mijas.
After a short and comfortable 45-minute drive from Malaga along the Costa del Sol our driver will drop us in the center of Mijas. It is time to meet the friendly burritos (donkeys) that have become the most beloved residents of the city. Over the centuries these donkeys have helped the residents of Mijas in the fields, and today take visitors for gentle tours through the cobbled streets of the town. We will visit the hermitage of the Virgen de la Peña, and stroll through the winding streets of Mijas, giving us the opportunity to admire the traditional architecture of Andalusia, its whitewashed houses and wrought iron balconies adorned with flowers, and enjoying the vibrant atmosphere of terrace cafes and craft shops.
I will explain the history and the traditional way of living in the area. Our walk will take us to the top of the town where its oval bullring is located, providing one of the best panoramic views of the Costa del Sol. You will then have some free time for a donkey ride, some shopping, or simply soaking up the atmosphere on a terrace with a coffee.
Our driver will then collect us, and we will move to a small family vineyard on the slopes of the mountains near Mijas, a unique and private place, where we can stroll through the vineyards, learn directly from the vineyard proprietor about the local wine tradition, and taste a selection of four wines offering a journey of the wines of the region
This tour can be customised for your convenience and interests, to include museums or other interest points, an al fresco paella lunch at the vineyard, or combination with other activities in Málaga or elsewhere along the coast to make a full day excursion. Please contact me to discuss options.

This is a half day tour and includes private transportation in a comfortable and spacious car with a/c, with driver, for the return trip from Málaga. The tour of the vineyard includes a guide by the proprietor, and tasting of 4 wines and cheese tapa.
